Workshop Overview:

Graduates in the 21st century must be able to critically analyse and integrate information in providing solutions at the workplace.  They have to be creative in problem solving especially in an increasingly complex healthcare environment with resource limitations. It is important that the assessments during their training are aligned with these outcomes.  This is best achieved using authentic problems/tasks where students apply their knowledge to tackle complex real-world situations.  In this workshop, the participants will learn to write higher order questions in their respective disciplines according to the course learning outcomes.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify the appropriate assessment methods for higher order thinking skills in the cognitive domain
  • Write higher order questions to address the course learning outcomes
