OBJECTIVE AND LEARNING OUTCOME

• to practice reaching a consensus in scoring for panel interview

After the workshop the participant should be able to:

• Assesses non cognitive attributes of student applicants
• Reach consensus on rating an interviewee

 

SYNOPSIS OF THE PROGRAM

Faculty members are given a briefing on the criteria used to assess the attributes that are required by student applicants to the medical and dental programme. They are introduced to the STAR technique of questioning to assess qualities from past experiences instead of future intentions. A video recording of an IMU interview is shown and the participants are asked to rate the students. Then a practices session is held on how to reach a consensus on the score for each of the attributes. Ended with and Q and A session
