Assessment is an integral component of a curriculum. It is the process of making progressive judgments on the achievement of learning outcomes through a systematic collection, review and use of information. Reliability and validity of assessments are essential psychometric properties to be determined to ensure the quality and the credibility. This workshop focuses primarily on determining the reliability of assessments through statistical methods based on Classical Test and Generalisability theories.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the concept of reliability
- determine the reliability of assessments using Classical Test and Generalisability theories
- interpret findings of reliability analyses performed based on the above theories
TARGET AUDIENCE
The workshop is primarily useful for teachers in healthcare professions education who have moderate to high level of involvement in assessments.
