Bloomers Training Center Sdn Bhd

Overview

Bloomers Training House Bhd  is a center for special needs adults to gather on Monday-Thursday (9am-4pm) where they will be trained on time management (punch cards) and simple jobs (packing cutlery items, fixing bolts and nuts etc).

Health activities that have been conducted so far are:

 


Objectives

Kids

  • To provide oral health services for those with special needs
  • To impart knowledge on preventive oral care for patients with special needs and to the caregivers
  • To provide guidance for caregivers and parents in improving and maintaining the residents’ personal hygiene
  • To provide management methods for parents to embolden a balanced lifestyle
  • To screen for BMI, blood glucose and blood pressure for caregivers and parents

  • People with special needs

 

IMU Cares Integration with MPU (U4) Module

Many student groups have been conducting community service projects at existing IMU Cares Community Partners as part of their MPU (U4) project. Find below the list of activities that students can undertake as part of their MPU (U4) project. Each student group may select one of the following:

  1. Volunteering at the centre ~ for several hours to assist the special needs adults in their occupational jobs
  2. Conduct daily exercise routine for fitness at the centre
  3. Motivate tooth brushing habit after lunchtime daily at the centre
  4. Conduct sex education workshop
