Guidelines for Presenters

Oral presenter

– Each presentation will be allocated a 15 minute slot. Actual presentations are expected to run for 10 minutes leaving 5 minutes for questions.
– Timing will be strictly enforced and presenters should make sure that they do not talk for more than 10 minutes.

– The preferred formats are Microsoft Power Point.
– Computer systems with Windows OS and Microsoft Office will be available and presenters are expected to use the conference system and not their own laptop to minimize setup time.
– If you want to use your own laptop, we will provide a VGA connection. If you are using an Apple computer you will need to a VGA connection (mini-display port to VGA or thunderbolt to VGA interface)
– Please make sure you show up at least 15 minutes prior to your session and upload your presentation to our laptop and make sure it works. In case you have to use your own laptop you need to test in advance that your laptop works. Also identify yourselves with your session chairs.
-We suggest bringing a copy of all the files including movies on multiple media formats (e.g. CD and/or USB key). Please use standard codecs for video to minimize risks of playing issues during presentation on the conference computer system

Poster Presenter

– The poster size is A1 594 mm (width) x 841 mm (height) or 23.4 inches (width) x 33.1 inches (height).
– The orientation of the poster must be in portrait.

- Poster material should be well labeled and visible from a distance of 10 feet. The title should be the same as the title submitted in the abstract.
- Velcro tapes needed for mounting posters will be provided.
- All posters must be posted before the judging sessions and must be removed on 16 August 2018, between 4.00 pm and 5.00 pm. Any posters remaining after 6:00 pm will be discarded.
