All healthcare providers are required to practise according to the guidelines stated by the Patient Safety Council of Malaysia and Ministry of Health Malaysia. Patient Safety Workshop is a half-day workshop conducted by the School of Medicine and Clinical Skills & Simulation Centre (CSSC) for all medical students with the aim to increase awareness and promote good practice of patient safety. It is a hands-on practical skills session where students are expected to actively participate in safety practice skills like intravenous line insertion, intramuscular/ subcutaneous injections, administration of blood transfusion, writing prescriptions and etc.
