The 17th Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Seminar has emphasised on various basic ethical principles such as respect for study participants, beneficence, and justice, and also highlighted all other 13 GCP principles based on The Malaysian Guidelines of GCP 4th Edition 2018. This year (2021), the Seminar consisted of Online lecture sessions via Zoom and Examination at IMU.
As an international ethical and scientific clinical trial training for professionals, all the participants learnt the concept of good practice in conducting clinical trials which include the design, conduct, performance, monitoring, auditing, recording, analyses and reporting of clinical trials. This training also underscored the importance to serve and protect the rights, integrity and confidentiality of clinical trial subjects and this is in line with The World Medical Association’s (WMA) Declaration of Helsinki 1964.
We are hoping that all the participants have learned, and benefitted from this training, and also able to apply these GCP principles when conducting clinical trials.
