Rohit Kumar Verma, an IMU lecturer from the Department of Pharmacy Practice, School of Pharmacy won the ‘Session’s Best Oral Presentation’ Award at the The Global Public Health Conference 2018 (GlobeHEAL).The conference was organised on 6-7 February 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia under the theme “Revitalizing Resilience towards the Emergence of Healthy Communities.” GlobeHEAL ‘18 Conference was aimed with a purpose: a focal point created to cater the needs of a stage to voice the problems, issues faced in the health sector and to find possible solutions to eradicate such problems. Rohit won the “Best Oral Presentation Award” in the session of “Best Practices in Healthcare”. The title of presentation was “Assessing The Factors That Would Affect The Acceptability Of Community Pharmacy Weight Management Services (WMS) in Malaysia: Consumer Perspectives” which highlighted central concerns on overweight and obese subjects’ views availing the community pharmacies led Weight Management Services (WMS) in Malaysia. The presentation was also nominated for “Best Research Student Presentation Award” as this study originated from his PhD research work. Awards were given by A/Prof Wong Li Pin, Social and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya, Malaysia. Research studies presented in conference were mainly from UK, USA, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Iran, Uganda, South Africa, Thailand, Qatar, Nepal, Bangladesh, Indonesia, India and Malaysia.
