Workshop Overview:-

Gamification is becoming increasingly used in educational settings for a number of reasons. In short, it ‘makes the hard stuff more fun’, helping to motivate students and make them more engaged with the subject matter. Gamification in learning involves using game-based elements such as point scoring, peer competition, leaderboard to drive engagement in completing tasks.

Pre-Workshop:-

You are required to go through the short course to gain the overview and knowledge of gamification in teaching and learning. The link to the short course will be shared to registered participants nearer to the workshop date.

During Workshop:-

Facilitators will summarise the key points from the course and answer your questions. There will be hands-on session to create your own gamification course for your student

 

Post-Workshop:-

You are required to submit the sample of the gamification that have been created in the short course. You will receive a gamification badge upon completing the activity

After this workshop, the participants will be able to:

  • Describe gamification and its usage in the area of teaching and learning.
  • Discover new tools, methods, and approaches to apply gamification elements in eLearning environment.
  • Develop and share strategies to incorporate gamification in your online teaching environment.
