It has been 10 years since the inception of the International Medical University (IMU) Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) programme and a celebratory dinner was held at Hotel Istana on 15 June 2015. The BPharm 10th Anniversary Dinner also serves as a homecoming reunion for all the alumni, faculty members, industrial partners, members of Pharmacy board and the current students. It was not just a night of celebration and but also as a platform for the current students and School of Pharmacy to witness the success of our Pharmacy alumni. It was a mesmerising dinner with all performances by the School of Pharmacy’s students and alumni. ‘’As one of IMU’s BPharm alumni, it has been great to see all the alumni and staff get together to commemorate our BPharm 10th Anniversary. They were also involved in every activity that was put forward by our dedicated team. We hope you all enjoyed the celebrations as much as we all do. Good friends never say goodbye, we say ‘see you next time’’’ said the Chairperson of the Anniversary Dinner, Dr Mai Chun Wai. Dr Mai is the alumni of our second batch of BPharm who returned to IMU and completed his PhD at the University. Starting as a medical school, IMU introduced its own BPharm programme in 2004 and to date, IMU has proudly produced over hundreds of pharmacists who are doing well in different aspects of pharmacy. To celebrate this milestone, IMU School of Pharmacy has organised a series of events to celebrate the 10th anniversary of BPharm. The events include health awareness talk, pharmacists’ roles awareness campaign, symposium, conference and recently, the 10th Anniversary Dinner. Another event in conjunction with the 10th Anniversary Celebrations is the upcoming IMU Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Conference 2015.
