It has been 25 years since the inception of the IMU and a celebratory dinner was held at Venue: Connexion@Nexus, Bangsar South on 9 April 2017. It was a mesmerising dinner with many performances by students, alumni and staff. Long service awards were given to staff who have worked at IMU for 10, 15, 20 and 25 years as a recognition for their contributions to the University. 
The dinner were attended by the Malaysian Director General Of Health, YBhg Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Bin Abdullah, Pengarah Kesihatan Negeri Selangor, YBhg Dato’ Dr Hajah Zailan Bt Dato’ Haji Adnan, the University’s Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, honorary degree recipients, members of the Academic Council, representatives of Majlis HEP IPTS, MAPCU, financial sponsors, IMU Cares partners, Board of Directors, Board of Governors, staff, students, ex-staff and alumni. 
“It was a great experience organising the anniversary dinner and it would not have been so without the amazing and enthusiastic team that I had.
