I vividly recalled the day I embarked on my journey at IMU, filled with excitement and curiosity for the realm of Chinese Medicine (CM). Over the years, my experience at IMU has been transformative, shaping my understanding of CM and equipping me with the skills necessary to make a meaningful impact in the field.
During my time at IMU, I immersed myself in its rich and comprehensive curriculum, delving deep into the theories, principles, and practices of CM. The first few paragraphs of my journey were marked by a profound exploration of subjects such as CM philosophy, herbal formulations, and acupuncture. I eagerly attended lectures, participated in practical sessions, and engaged in stimulating discussions with my peers and lecturers. The supportive learning environment at IMU encouraged me to embrace challenges and develop a holistic perspective on healthcare.
As I progressed through my studies, I had the privilege of gaining hands-on experience through internships and clinical placements during the last semester. What’s Next?
Following my graduation from IMU, I am currently working as a Chinese medicine assistant at IMU while waiting for my license. This role has provided me with invaluable insights into the practical aspects of CM, reinforcing my commitment to helping others with a holistic approach to healthcare. Assisting senior practitioners in preparing herbal prescriptions and supporting therapeutic procedures have enhanced my clinical skills and solidified my belief in the efficacy of CM.
Looking ahead, my passion for CM has sparked a desire to broaden my horizons through studying abroad. I aim to gain exposure to diverse perspectives, deepen my knowledge, and engage in research that will contribute to the advancement of CM. Studying abroad will not only offer me the opportunity to learn from renowned experts but also expose me to different cultural practices and healthcare systems, enriching my understanding of CM in a global context.
