The new year brought in an Acting Dean for the IMU’s School of Pharmacy. Dr Wong Pei Se, an IMU Alumnus, was appointed the Acting Dean effective 1 January.
Commenting on the appointment as Acting Dean, School of Pharmacy, Dr Wong said, “I am delighted and honoured to serve as Acting Dean of the School. It is a privilege to be given the opportunity to contribute to the development of this School, its programmes and its students. As Acting Dean, I am committed to doing whatever is needed to support the School in establishing itself as a centre of academic excellence. ”
Dr Wong Pei Se is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Pharmacy with over 13 years of teaching experience in the area of pharmacy practice. She is a registered pharmacist in Malaysia. She obtained her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutical Care) from the University of Strathclyde. Her research interests include pharmacy education and emerging roles of pharmacists. Her current projects involve better understanding of self-care in chronic disease and developing the evidence to support future roles for pharmacists.
