A total of 14 researchers from the International Medical University (IMU) had successfully secured the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) grant in the recent 2020 grant cycle. They were amongst 31 submissions from IMU in applying for the grant, achieving a significant success rate of 45%. The total amount of grants secured was totalling RM 1,894,856. About Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) FRGS grant is awarded by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) to promote basic or fundamental research that can develop theories, concepts, and new ideas towards knowledge development. Such research serves as the backbone to new discoveries and innovative creations contributing towards increasing intellectual level, creation of new technologies, and enriching a dynamic culture in line with our national aspiration.
