14 June 2014 – 35 students from the International Medical University (IMU) took part in the Blood Donors Fun Run 2014. The run is a charity event organised by the Malaysia Blood Donors Society and the Malaysia Blood Centre in conjunction with World Blood Donors Day. Besides fundraising, the event also aims to thank the blood donors for their life-saving donations and to promote voluntary unpaid blood donations. In the 5.5 km run, the runners were flagged off from Car Park B of the Bukit Jalil Stadium before going through the hilly route and returning to the starting point. All runners received a finishing medal and certificate. At the end of the day, everyone went home satisfied after a good run. At the same time, they have played their part in raising awareness about blood donation.
