3 October 2015 – Karma Yoga activities under the umbrella of IMU Cares Project was successfully implemented at the Ti-Ratana residency, Desa Petaling. The activity was carried out by our IMU Yoga Club students under the supervision of IMU Yoga Club Advisor Mdm. Leela Chellamuthu. International Medical University (IMU) staff from Division of Nursing, IRDI and Academic Services assisted in the smooth flow of the project. Karma Yoga activities help to remove idleness and gives good health. The objective was to introduce Yoga as a form of fitness and stress management to the children. Though at the beginning the children were seen to be shy and refuse to communicate, towards the end of the event they were all able to participate effectively in the karma yoga activities. This event has made a difference among the underprivileged children to encourage them to look into things at a broader perspective and it is hoped that this will elevate unity among the children.
