19 April 2019 – International Medical University’s School of Pharmacy hosted a Stakeholders Meeting, attended by representatives from professional organisations, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and community pharmacies as well as alumni. This is the 2nd Stakeholders Meeting organised by the School to serve as a platform for exchange and debate on the content and method of delivery of the undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum to meet the needs of the wider community.

The meeting started with a welcoming address from A/Prof Mohd Zulkefeli bin Mat Jusoh, Dean of School of Pharmacy followed by overviews from the Programme Directors on the features of the undergraduate programmes and key actions taken following the 1st Stakeholders Meeting in 2017. This is followed by a discussion on graduates’ attributes and profession needs.

The Stakeholders Meeting also discussed the way forward for postgraduate education and training to support pharmaceutical policy and the pharmacy profession. The feedback will be fed into programme development and improvement.
