She emphasised that “The training standards have been developed to ensure patient safety and to provide a good standard of care based on current evidence in the field of Implant Dentistry.” For these reasons IMU has ensured that the programme is delivered by highly qualified and experienced full-time and adjunct teaching faculties. Indeed, the IMU PGDID is Malaysia’s FIRST and ONLY approved postgraduate programme in implant dentistry that is approved by the Malaysian Qualifying Agency (MQA) and Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE). The PGDID programme is internationally benchmarked with the Diploma of Implant Dentistry, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Upon completion of the PGDID programme students will also be well-prepared to sit for the diploma exam in implant dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
