7 January 2015 – The Executive Director of IMC Education Sdn Bhd, Christy Chiu Lai Heng, is pleased to announce the availability of sponsorship for International Medical College (IMC) Diploma in Nursing students via the Sin Chew Education Fund 2015. The sponsorship via the Sin Chew Education Fund 2015 is a result of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between IMC and Sin Chew Education Fund. The Memorandum was signed by Christy Chiu on behalf of IMC and Executive Director of Sin Chew Media Corporation Berhad / CEO of Sin Chew Daily, Koo Cheng. Present at the ceremony of exchanging the agreement were Deputy Minister of Education I, Yang Berhormat Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching, IMC’s Principal for its Subang Jaya campus, Puan Norashikin Cheong Abdullah, representatives of other higher education institutions and many important invited guests. This is the first year that IMC is participating in this to help students with financial constraints.
Christy Chiu said, “The sponsorships by Sin Chew Education Fund are designed to provide opportunities and financial support for the poor and/or needy students to further their studies in Diploma of Nursing by providing three years tuition fees. These sponsorships allow its recipients the opportunity to study at a college which strives for excellence in preparing future nurses to be passionate, knowledgeable, competent and ethical professionals. Graduates from this Diploma in Nursing have ample opportunities to work in the healthcare industry.”
