The MSc in Acupuncture offered by the International Medical University enables working professionals with Chinese Medicine, Medicine or Medical Sciences degrees to gain up-to-date knowledge and adequate competencies in acupuncture clinical practices. This programme is offered in blended mode, enabling the students the opportunity to work towards a Master degree, whilst continuing with their work. Blended mode for this programme means that students can undertake much of their study online via live online teaching and learning sessions, with some weekend on-campus face to face sessions for theoretical studies and clinical practice at IMU clinic, providing flexibility for the students. They will be taught by lecturers from both IMU and SHUTCM, and all have doctorate degrees or over 5 years higher professional experience specialised in Traditional Chinese Medicine and other related subjects. The IMU MSc in Acupuncture is currently the first and only acupuncture degree programme in Malaysia that is approved by MOHE and MQA. Students of this programme have the opportunity to complete the entire degree at IMU or obtain a double degree from IMU and Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SHUTCM).
