The Institute of Research, Development and Innovation (IRDI) was officially launched at IMU on 18 September 2012 in a ceremony officiated by the University’s Chancellor, YBhg Dato’ Seri Dr T Devaraj. This is an important milestone for the university as the establishment of IRDI reflects the university’s commitment to invest strategically in the areas of research excellence. The new institute, based at the university, will also ensure sustainability and advancement in research by realigning the research direction of the university.
