Our School of Dentistry offers a student-centred curriculum with cutting-edge technology, training our students to become well-prepared Dentists. We deliver an innovative and well integrated curriculum with early clinical exposure for an immersive learning experience.
For those interested in going the extra mile, we offer optional additional certification courses i.e the ‘BDS Plus’, which you can enrol upon fulfilling programme clinical requirements to enhance your knowledge and skills, as well as to better prepare you for the real world of dentistry. We have state-of-the-art equipment to help students acquire clinical skills. IMU’s School of Dentistry is the only dental school in Malaysia with two haptic virtual simulators to enhance the acquisition of practical skills.
In addition, we have exclusive partnerships with six prestigious dental schools in the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. This opens up exciting opportunities for our students to pursue phase 2 of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme at their preferred partner schools. I'm proud to be part of the IMU alumni in implant dentistry programme, it's been a wonderful learning journey for me. The curriculum emphasises on the essentials of implant dentistry, evidence-based dentistry, precise treatment planning as well as communication skills to explain implant treatment's risks in order to create healthy expectations amongst patients. This course has certainly instilled confidence in me as I develop my implant practice and apply the knowledge – I have truly gained from the supportive learning environment at IMU.

I have been involved in this programme from its inception. The programme aims to train students in the understanding of pulpal and periapical pathophysiology, selection of appropriate dental materials/instruments, fundamental rationale of clinical techniques and management of failed Endodontic cases of moderate difficulty. To facilitate smooth functioning and learning in IMU, the students would be assigned personal mentors to substantiate their academic pursuit.

The1-year Postgraduate Diploma in Prosthodontics programme is delivered and supervised by highly qualified and experienced local and international prosthodontists. I am one of these faculty members teaching this programme, with many of us delivering different aspects of treatments based on our expertise.
