  • Drama presentation or Dramatisation
In IMU BSc (Hons) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry programme, drama presentation or dramatisation has been used as a cooperative teaching-learning strategy with first year students on the subject related to ethics in laboratory safety and scientific research.  During the presentation, the students are given the opportunity to dramatise stories in laboratory settings and  explore the ethical dilemmas and arguments in relation to chemical and laboratory safety. The process of learning through dramatic play cover important aspects of training including development of self-confidence, and enhancement of group relations, cooperative work and non-verbal communication skills.
  • IMU’s Final Year Pharmacy Students Secured Second Place in Country Finals of AstraZeneca Project iDEA 2023
Team PawsitiveCode comprising of 4 IMU Final Year Pharmacy students secured second place in The AZ Project iDEA Challenge by impressing the judges with their innovative idea, featuring digital ads with talking robotic pets powered by AI, as well as a unique social media challenge. Read more about it on IMU News.
  • School of Pharmacy Live-Talk Series  
The School organised a series of live talks on the learning experiences, professions, local and international opportunities of pharmacists and pharmaceutical chemists.   • Pharmacy Week & Pharmaceutical Chemistry Week
The School is organising Pharmacy Week and Pharmaceutical Chemistry Week annually since 2019 with the aims of providing a professional identity development platform for Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry students to develop their professionalism, leadership, interpersonal and organisation skills. Professional bodies and relevant organisations are invited to be the event collaborators. Industry experts, academician and alumni working in the industries are invited to deliver expert sharing, webinars and workshops during the event week.

  • IMU’s Pharmacy Alumni Team Won Award for Community Project
27-November 2015 – A team comprising of IMU’s pharmacy alumni won the PhAMA President’s Community Impact & Awareness Award 2015 for their community project in conducting a deworming programme for children in an Orang Asli village at Kampung Ulu Tual, Kuala Lipis. The award was announced and presented to the winning team at the Pharmaceutical Association of Malaysia (PhAMA) Annual Dinner, witnessed by the Minister of Health, YB Datuk Seri Dr S Subramaniam.
