An opportunity to set foot on the continent of Antarctica to study bacteria is just one of the many fascinating stories of Dr Nur Alia Johari, an IMU scientist and researcher. Her deep passion for science has taken Nur Alia to many places — even to the South Pole. As a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Advanced Microbiology Collaborative Research Laboratory (AMCRL) at IMU, she shares her inspiring journey to encourage other young women to take on challenges in the world of science.
