Dr Then Yoon Yee, Senior Lecturer and Programme Director for the BSc (Hons) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the School of Pharmacy, IMU University (in the main photo) and team member, Dr Wong Lai Chun (in the photo on the right) have been awarded the prestigious Inclusion and Diversity Fund from the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), UK, valued £3,550.

The RSC Inclusion and Diversity Fund supports pioneering initiatives that promote equitable practices and diversity within the chemical sciences.

The funded project, “Designing Dyslexia-Friendly Chemistry Learning Materials for Inclusive Education”, aims to develop chemistry learning resources that are accessible, supportive, and inclusive to students with dyslexia and other unique learning needs.

“We are honoured to receive this prestigious funding from the RSC. This opportunity allows us to design and evaluate dyslexia-friendly chemistry materials that promote more inclusive learning experiences. It represents an important step toward reducing learning barriers and enhancing educational equity.”
