Dr. Choy Ker Woon is a senior lecturer in the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Pathology, Laboratory and Forensic Medicine (I-PPerForM), UiTM. She is also a treasurer of Malaysian Anatomical Association, assistant chief editor of the Malaysian Physiotherapy Journal, and committee member of Academic International Dialogue. Her research focused on Applied Anatomy in forensic anthropology, radio-imaging, and vascular. Her research has been published in high-impact WOS-indexed journals. She has been awarded Young Investigator Award (2023), Young Investigator Award (2019), Young Scientist Award (2018) and Young Investigator Award (2016) nationally and internationally. In 2021, she was awarded Top Publication in Scopus/WOS as a corresponding author and was a recipient for Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang. In 2022, she was awarded the Highest Number of Publication Award and the Highest Accumulative Impact Factor Award. Dr Choy’s is currently supervising 8 PhD and 2 MSc students. She also received various grants as principal investigator and co-investigator. She proactively organized diverse Anatomy programs to enact change in medical education. Her research and Anatomy program were transformed through innovation. She has won several special awards in innovation competitions such as Double Gold in the International Science and Social Science Innovation Competition (2021), Special Award winner in Malaysia Teknologi EXPO 2022, Double Gold winner in International Innovation Competition (INNOCOM III) 2022, and Special Innovation Award in MPI, 2023. She also won multiple Best Oral Presentation Awards at various international and national conferences. In the Three Minutes Thesis Competition, she won 2nd Runner up at the National Level in 2018. She was also the semi-finalist in the Famelab International competition in 2018. She often received invitations as a speaker and innovation jury nationally and internationally.
