Prof Anthony Rhodes from the Division of Applied Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology at IMU revealed through an online talk that biomedical scientists work efficiently and collaboratively to run laboratory tests and deliver test results in a timely manner. Almost three-quarters of all clinical diagnoses depend, at least in part, on the accuracy of laboratory tests performed by biomedical scientists and medical technologists. This is part and parcel of a vital service provided to the hospital clinicians treating patients, though it is frequently overlooked. Article is in Mandarin.
