The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that as much as 10% of women suffer from infertility. More and more couples are turning to assisted reproductive treatments (ART) such as in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) and intrauterine insemination, to have children. Many even go one step further by undergoing acupuncture and other traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatments to increase their chances of having a successful pregnancy.
