Eligibility This competition is open to all Malaysians, permanent residents,
international students and expatriates who are studying, working and staying in
Malaysia. Participants who are below 18 years old as of 31 December 2018 are
required to have parent or guardian’s approval and signature on the entry form.

Access to Venue

  1. IMU is situated next to Sri Petaling Station (Star LRT / Sri Petaling Line). This is the most accessible option. Ample parking space for cars and buses are provided in the vicinity of IMU.

  3. Sri Petaling LRT Car Park

Age Qualification

  1.  Participation is open to all ages.
  2. Participants who are below 12 years old are required to register together with a parent/guardian under the Fun Run (Splash of Hope), 3km Category.
  3. Participants who are below 18 years old are required to register under the Junior Boys, Junior Girls or Team Challenge Category with parental consent.

Registration Procedures

  1. Registration fees are non-transferable.
  2. There will be absolutely no refunds upon registration.
  3. Your registration is only valid upon payment of registration fees.
  4. Only online payment is available for online registration.


  1. All runners above 12 years old will receive a T-shirt.
  2. Children under 12 years old will not receive a T-shirt.


  1.  Participants are required to attach the assigned Bib on the front of the running attire throughout the running process. Participants not wearing a Bib will be suspended from the run.
  2. The Organisers reserve the right to use any photographs (including those of Participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the IMU Chariofare Charity Run 2018, for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising.
  3. These following items are strictly prohibited on the race route of IMU Chariofare Charity Run 2018: Pets, skateboards, bicycle, roller blades, baby joggers and any other forms of vehicles.
  4. The Organisers reserve the rights to cancel, limit or refuse any run entries without any associated reasons.
  5. A participant who commences to run before the actual start time of his/her registered category as well as failing to acquire all the respective checkpoint bands will be disqualified.
  6. Participants who do not start within 20 minutes from the respective flag off (3km, 5km & 10km) will be disqualified and for safety reasons may not be allowed to start.

Fun Run (Splash of Hope)

  1. There is no specific theme for the Fun Run (Splash of Hope).
  2. Participants who choose to participate in the Fun Run would have to stop along the route where a canvas with 2D lock drawings will be displayed. Participants, together with their loved ones, will be able to write down their greatest hopes in the lock and decorate it with their handprints using the children safe hand paint provided.
  3. Participants are allowed to design the locks without any restrictions but writings and drawings should not contain any profanity or insult.
  4. Decisions on the best masterpiece (best-decorated lock + handprint challenge) will be final. No appeals will be entertained.

Certificate of Participation

  1.  Every runner will be entitled to an e-certificate which will be
    available on the IMU Chariofare website.
  2. Runners are required to key in their IC number on the website in order to get the e-certificates.

  1.  Participants are required to run on the road except as directed by the race marshal / RELA or police.
  2. Unauthorized vehicles are NOT allowed to accompany the runners.
  3. No Participants are allowed to run with their Bib attached on the race route after 10am on the day of the run.

Baggage Deposit

  1.  The Organisers will not be responsible for any loss/damage to the personal belongings and items deposited at the event baggage storage facility. Due to security reasons, the Organisers reserve the right to check any item or baggage deposited.
