How IMU Sparked My Digital Health Dream

26 Nov 2025

My journey in choosing IMU began after hearing about the positive experience of my close friend who was studying here. Around the same time, I came across an advertisement promoting IMU’s Open Day, showcasing various programmes. That was when the newly introduced Bachelor in Digital Health (Hons) programme caught my attention.

Intrigued, I began researching the programme online and later attended the Open Day to learn more. I was drawn to the programme’s unique blend of IT, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Analytics – a rare and forward-thinking combination within the healthcare field. I found the multidisciplinary curriculum both fascinating and highly relevant for the future of healthcare. That clarity in vision and academic direction motivated me to enrol immediately.

Studying Digital Health at IMU has been an enriching and memorable journey. With a small cohort, our classes were close-knit, allowing us to support and learn from one another.

The lecturers were genuinely dedicated, beyond teaching from textbooks, they brought in guest speakers, organised industry-focused field trips, and shared real-world knowledge that broadened our perspectives beyond classroom learning.

One of the highlights of the programme was the industrial training module, which gave me invaluable exposure to real-world healthcare IT environments. Working alongside industry experts enabled me to apply my knowledge, gain confidence, and better understand the needs of the healthcare sector.

Overall, my time at IMU was filled with growth, meaningful friendships, and experiences that shaped both my personal and professional development.

I recently graduated from the Bachelor in Digital Health (Hons) programme and currently pursuing opportunities within the healthcare IT industry. I am excited to begin the next chapter of my career and contribute to digital transformation in healthcare.

My career ambition is to become a Digital Solutions Engineer. This aspiration was inspired by my internship supervisor, whose passion and expertise motivated me to pursue this path.

I hope to one day design impactful digital solutions that improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
