When I embarked on the Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) programme at IMU, I was already working full-time in public health. With a background in pharmacy and medical microbiology, I pursued the programme to deepen my understanding of public health.

The programme modules, particularly epidemiology, biostatistics, and research methodology, have strengthened my ability to critically analyse data, design studies, and translate evidence into informed decision-making in real public health issues. Furthermore, the research component strengthened my capacity for independent inquiry and scientific writing.

The flexibility of the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode made it possible for me to pursue the degree while continuing my full-time responsibilities. This teaching mode delivery allowed me to integrate academic learning directly into professional practice.
