My passion for chemistry and the desire to contribute to healthcare inspired me to pursue the Pharmaceutical Chemistry programme at IMU. I’ve always been intrigued by how molecules can be engineered to combat diseases, and this programme has allowed me to explore the intersection of chemistry and medicine in depth.

The academic journey has been both challenging and fulfilling. Courses such as organic, medicinal, and analytical chemistry strengthened my understanding of complex concepts and developed my critical thinking.

Beyond labs and assessments, IMU offers a variety of engaging teaching and learning activities. Lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions make learning fun and effective. The lecturers are incredibly supportive and passionate—they go the extra mile to ensure we understand and grow, which makes the learning environment truly enriching.

Outside the Classroom, I actively took part in various student activities that enriched my university life. As the President of the Student Representative Council, I led initiatives that fostered student engagement and collaboration.

I also served as the Vice President of Pharmalympics, a spirited sports tournament for the School of Pharmacy. It was not only fun but a great way to connect with lecturers and fellow pharmacy students through sports and teamwork.

Additionally, I participated in Pharmaceutical Chemistry Week, contributing to events that celebrated our field and brought the community together.

Looking ahead, I aim to venture into pharmaceutical Research & Development, focusing on sustainable and accessible drug discovery.
