Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) education in Malaysia is evolving into a more professional and research-driven field, reflected in the journeys of IMU University graduates.

Sng Kim Sia, an IMU lecturer with a Bachelor’s degree from IMU, a Master’s from Shanghai University of TCM in orthopaedics, and currently pursuing a PhD in Chinese Internal Medicine in China, exemplifies this progression while advocating for stronger standards and safety in TCM practice.

Alongside him, graduates such as Chong Chee Yin, who is pursuing pharmacology research in Taiwan and Ahmad Mujahid Mazlan, a non-Chinese graduate planning to open an acupuncture therapy centre, demonstrate how the field is becoming more diverse.
