Prof Dr Nazimah Idris believes that being a woman is not only a privilege but also a responsibility to uplift others and create a better society. Guided by this principle, the IMU University professor of obstetrics and gynaecology and IMU Healthcare medical director has dedicated her career to supporting vulnerable women, refugees, and underserved communities while championing inclusive healthcare and education.
Through her leadership and advocacy, she encourages young women to recognise their strengths, challenge outdated narratives, and build strong support systems to make meaningful contributions. While celebrating Malaysia’s progress in maternal health, she believes the next step is empowering women with better health literacy and stronger healthcare systems.
