From vibrant booths to meaningful interactions, Student Ambassador Week 2025 at IMU University was a heartening showcase of leadership, teamwork, and the spirit of service. Organised by the Student Ambassadors, this week-long initiative aimed to raise awareness about the Student Ambassador Programme and to inspire more students to “Be the Changemaker”—the very essence of our slogan.
Held at the university atrium, the event featured a variety of interactive booths designed to highlight the core values that Student Ambassadors embody: communication, leadership, collaboration, and initiative. Each booth was thoughtfully crafted to reflect one of these key traits, using fun and engaging activities that invited participation from students across all faculties.
Among the most popular booths were team-based challenges like “Human Knot” and communication games such as “Maze Challenge”(as shown on the right) which encouraged students to work together and think critically under pressure. These activities were more than just games; they provided a glimpse into the real-world skills our academic programmes seek to cultivate, such as adaptability, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Throughout the week, students from various programmes took part in the booths and had the chance to interact with current Student Ambassadors, who shared their personal experiences and answered questions about the programme. A dedicated recruitment booth allowed interested students to learn more about how the Student Ambassador Programme offers opportunities to build confidence, organise impactful events, and represent the university in internal and external engagements. Through this, 42 candidates were recruited for the Student Ambassador Programme.

Goodie bags were also distributed to participants as tokens of appreciation, adding a fun and wholesome touch to the experience. The event drew a steady crowd throughout the week, with many students expressing appreciation for the refreshing break from academics and the chance to bond with peers from different cohorts.
Bridging Learning and Leadership
Student Ambassador Week highlighted how co-curricular activities like these complement academic learning. The values promoted through the booths such as clear communication, effective leadership, team synergy, and resilience, are closely aligned with what students are taught in their respective programmes.
From applying communication skills learned in clinical role-plays to managing booth logistics using time management strategies covered in academic modules, students had the opportunity to put theory into practice. For many, the event served as a real-life extension of their learning environment, reinforcing the importance of soft skills in shaping future professionals.
Furthermore, the organisational process behind the event itself offered valuable learning experiences for the Student Ambassadors. Planning timelines, delegating responsibilities, managing resources, and collaborating with departments all mirrored the kind of real-world teamwork required in professional settings.
A Foundation for Better Teaching and Engagement

Events like Student Ambassador Week demonstrate the value of peer-led initiatives in enhancing campus life and student learning.
By giving students ownership and responsibility, the university fosters a sense of empowerment and intrinsic motivation. Such experiences contribute to more confident, reflective learners who are better prepared for future clinical placements, research work, and community outreach.
Moreover, by encouraging cross-programme collaboration and communication, the event contributes to building a more unified and supportive university culture. One where leadership and service go hand-in-hand with academic excellence.
Looking Ahead
As the week came to a close, the excitement and positivity it generated remained. Student Ambassador Week 2025 was more than just a recruitment drive, it was a celebration of student potential and a call to action for anyone ready to step up, lead, and grow. The success of the event stands as a strong reminder that when students are empowered to take the lead, they don’t just rise to the occasion, they inspire others to do the same.
