Reaching for painkillers may seem like the easiest solution whenever pain strikes. Over time, this habit can become a routine—an “extra dose” added to daily life without much thought. However, Pharmacist Kow Chia Siang from IMU University warns that regular use of painkillers, especially those containing Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs), can lead to serious side effects. Among the six potential health risks he highlights, the most concerning is heart failure, alongside the risk of kidney and liver damage. Article is in Malay.
