Overview

On the date of visit, IMU students with the supervising faculty, would visit the elderly home and carry out the healthcare activities such as, blood pressure and glucose monitoring, eye/ENT assessments, breast examination to detect breast lumps and prostrate examination for the elderly residents.

Our expected benefits is to reduce the overcrowding at tertiary hospitals by providing basic screening services to the community, to identify medical problems early and provide appropriate intervention. At the same time, this serves as a platform for medical students to enhance and supplement their knowledge and clinical examinations skills.
