On the date of visit IMU students with the supervising faculty would visit the old folk home and carry out the following such as, General health screening (BP etc), Blood glucose measurement, Eye/ENT checkup, Breast examination to detect breast lumps and Prostrate examination.

Our expected benefits is to reduce the overcrowding at tertiary hospitals by providing basic screening services to the community, to identify medical problems and provide appropriate intervention and to enhance and supplement the knowledge and examinations skills of medical students.


Activities conducted so far:



  • To conduct health screening to identify residents who need intervention.
