A Place to Grow, A Place to Care: A Psychology Centre for Everyone

11 Mar 2026

The Mind Health Centre (MHC) is more than just a training site for the Master of Clinical Psychology and Master of Counselling students at IMU University – it is also a welcoming space that is open to the public where the community can find support, accessible and open to all. Whether someone is navigating life’s challenges, seeking personal growth or simply just needing someone to talk to, the centre provides a safe place to be heard and cared for.

The MHC is located in the Mranti Technology Park (Hive 3 campus, Bukit Jalil). Offering a wide range of services such as sandbox therapy to clinical assessments, group sessions, couple counselling, family counselling and individual counselling, the centre caters to what works best for each individual’s mental health and well-being needs.

At the same time, it functions as a practicum site where psychology trainees can gain the opportunity to have real interactions with people while being guided closely under the supervision of registered and experienced psychologists. This shared journey not only benefits the community but also future psychologists, reflecting a collaborative and compassionate approach to healthcare.

By combining community support with professional training, Mind Health Centre successfully demonstrates how educational institutions can make meaningful differences in people’s lives. It’s a place where growth, care and learning can happen together, shaping healthier minds today and building a stronger foundation for mental wellbeing in Malaysia tomorrow.
