On 12 March 2025, the Department of Chinese Medicine, School of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, IMU University, together with Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CDUTCM), China, successfully hosted the Chinese Medicine Academic Seminar. This prestigious event brought together esteemed scholars, practitioners, and students to engage in meaningful academic discussions on the latest developments in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
The hybrid seminar attracted over 150 participants, including faculty members, alumni, students, and industry partners. The event featured three distinguished speakers from CDUTCM, each of whom shared their expertise in specialised areas of TCM:

- The Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture Techniques in Dermatological Diseases
- Prof Zhou Haiyan
- Experience Sharing of Acupuncture on Insomnia
- Prof Qu Yan (Left in the photo below)
- Exploring the Path of Innovation in Topical Formulations: Research & Development Strategies and Practical Achievements in Translational Medicine from an Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Perspective



Throughout the seminar, participants had the opportunity to engage with the speakers, gaining deeper insights into acupuncture techniques, integrative medicine, and advancements in TCM-based therapeutics. The event also served as a platform to strengthen academic collaboration and exchange between IMU University and CDUTCM, reinforcing their shared commitment to advancing the field of Chinese Medicine.
The success of this seminar was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the IMU Chinese Medicine faculty and student volunteers, whose contributions ensured a seamless and enriching experience for all attendees.
