Workshop Objective:-
This introductory workshop will help both early career educators and seasoned educators to understand the importance of metacognition and self-regulation, use popular education strategies and practical tools for introduction of metacognition self-regulation to train the students as effective learners of 21st Century, avoid cognitive overloading and subsequently avoid breakdown under stress.
Workshop Learning Outcome:-
In this workshop, you will be able to understand and learn the following information: -
1.Explain the importance of metacognition and self-regulation in making students better learners.
2.Relate metacognition and self-regulation with stress reduction through handling of cognitive load.
3.To develop instructional strategies to emphasize metacognition & self-regulated learning in undergraduate training programs in health professions.
4.To design a structured metacognitive program, especially for the “strugglers.
