Workshop Overview:
eLearning license is a compulsory certification for IMU academics. This certification will equips the academics with the basic skills required to implement e-Learning at IMU for blended and open and distance learning.
This workshop introduces the basic eLearning license modules and assist academic and staff who have enrolled and need assistance in completing the modules. There are 10 online modules need to be completed which covers basics of instructional design, PowerPoint, e-Learning content development, video editing, Learning Management System (LMS), and classroom engagement tools.
Once you have explored the learning activities and completed all assessments in all 10 modules, you will be awarded the module badges for each module and the basic e-Learning License e-certificate.
After this workshop, you should be able to:
- Create and manage learning resources and activities in the eLearn Portal/ODL portal
- Create and manage assignment and assessment in eLearn Portal/ODL portal
- Prepare presentation slides with basics criteria of design principles
- Apply Gagne’s Events of Instruction in designing the content for the students
- Identify the right instructional design strategy based on learning requirements
- Design and develop interactive module by applying instructional design principles and techniques
- Use interactive web tools to engage and assess students during synchronous learning sessions
- Perform basic video editing for video based content design.
