Workshop Overview:-
In academic medicine , there are many assumptions and practices for medical education research. These assumptions and practices may have arised from past experiences and overlaps between the roles of an educator, clinician, researcher and leader. There are however some risks associated to these assumptions and the associated research practices. One risk that we would like to reduce is gaps in the quality of research proposal and the low success rate of publications in top-tiered medical education journals. This seminar aims to close the gap amongst IMU researchers and open the doors to more viable and successful medical education research outcomes
Workshop Learning Outcomes:
- Identify the gaps and common pitfalls in medical education research
- Apply the best practices in medical education research for research proposal development and publication
