Workshop Overview:-
A rubric is a learning and assessment tool, usually in the form of a matrix or grid, to interpret and grade students' work against criteria and standards. Rubrics not only allow quicker and more consistent marking but are extremely helpful in reflection. Writing a good rubric, however, can be challenging. This workshop aims to provide faculty with the practical considerations and skills of designing rubrics for assessment.
Workshop Objectives:-
- To discuss the practical considerations of using rubrics for assessment
- To design or revise rubrics
Workshop Learning Outcome:-
At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Create or revise rubric criteria with specific outcomes
- Evaluate rubric design to serve different purposes
Note: **Participants are to required to bring along an existing rubric or marking scheme/scoring if any when attending the workshop.
