Workshop Overview:-
A marking rubric is a learning and assessment tool, usually in the form of a matrix or grid, to interpret and grade students’ work against criteria and standards. Marking rubrics not only allow more consistent marking but are also extremely helpful in guiding students’ self-reflection and hence improvement. In this workshop, the practical considerations in designing marking rubrics will be discussed.
Workshop Objective:-
The objective of this workshop is to:
- discuss the practical considerations in designing marking rubrics.
- design marking rubrics according to learning outcomes.

After this workshop, the participants will be able to:
- design or revise marking rubric with specific outcomes.
- evaluate rubric design to serve different purposes.
