Research Administration
- Manage Research and Ethics Application – IMU-JC
- Develop and review research policies
- Execute IMU Research Plans
- Manage budget and requisition
- Liaise with external agencies
- Support regulatory compliance (NPRA)
- Manage records and documentation
- Monitor progress and milestone reporting
- Administer financial support and payment
- Support administration of CoE
Research Grant Management
- Manage internal & external research funds
- Monitor research fund remittance and expenditure
- Identify and disseminate funding opportunities
- Identify and establish collaborative opportunities with national and international agencies
- Provide administrative and technical support to new project or grant application
Research Compliance, Reporting and Analytic
- Manage research funding data and contracts
- Analyse research performance data
- Provide data evidence-driven decision making
- Prepare reports for various rating exercises, e.g. MyRA, SETARA & QS
- Prepare BOD and BOG reports
- Prepare documents for MQA accreditation
- Support IMU Digital Transformation Initiatives
Training and Knowledge Dissemination
- Training programmes on research ethics, grant writing, project management, publication, and IP management
- Administer the online CITI Training Programme for IMU-JC members, staff and students
- Organise conferences, workshops and Translational Research Seminars
- Publish annual report on research highlights and performance

The IMU Research Laboratory is a centralised, shared research spaces and resources that are well-equipped with the instruments, technologies, testing and services and infrastructure necessary for researchers to conduct their work effectively and safely.
