Research Centres

Our research centres are home to our innovative researchers who conduct research in five thrust areas.

Centre for Translational Research

The science of clinical and public health research that investigates the potential implementation of laboratory discoveries in clinical practice through clinical research and public health innovations into health policies by community-based research aimed at the improvement of patient care and public health.

null

Centre for Environmental and Population Health

We pursue research in the application of data science to healthcare across the entire continuum from the environment, health of individuals, population, to the healthcare system itself.

Centre for Bioactive Molecules and Drug Delivery

The Centre for Bioactive Molecules and Drug Delivery (BMDD) consists of experts from diverse disciplines. The main aim of BMDD is to facilitate and to support a continuum of research and development activities from discovery and characterisation of bioactive molecules to clinical trials.

Centre for Cancer and Stem Cell Research

The Centre for Cancer and Stem Cell (CCR) conduct basic, translational, and clinical research — from fundamental research on the origins of cancer, to clinical trials that test promising discoveries, to development of novel therapies and prevention approaches to cancer.

Centre for Transformative Nutrition and Health

The Centre for Transformative Nutrition and Health (CTNH) aims to contribute and build knowledge in the field of nutrition and health. We research nutrition-health relationships at various levels, to understand the complex ways in which diet and nutrition influence our health. The goal of CTNH is to transform nutrition through innovations to promote BETTER HEALTH.

Who We Are

The primary aim of IRDI is to serve as a platform to support all research activities at IMU.

The objectives of IRDI include:

  • To explore funding opportunities
  • To liaise with industrial partners for contract research
  • To provide supporting services to researchers such as statistical, editing services and advice of IP filling
  • To coordinate the applications for both internal and external funding
  • To coordinate the commercialisation of potential research products and services
  • To coordinate corporate communication to publicise IMU research
