Advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) have the potential to transform healthcare delivery. The exhaustion and overwork felt by many medical professionals, particularly among the specialists in emergency medicine, critical care and neurology, are impacting the performance of healthcare. AI can enhance healthcare delivery through diagnostic and decision support, predictive analytics and automated workflows. In order to harness the benefits of AI-powered healthcare, it is necessary to incorporate the curricular changes in health professions education.
The potential of AI can be used to predict future learning outcomes, which can make influencing shifts in education, employment, and professional development requirements. The curriculum providing students with a strong understanding of AI concepts can enable health professionals for informed decision making and deliver patient-centred care. The webinar will help the participants to understand how AI can enhance the components of the curriculum systems. The webinar will also discuss how AI can enhance healthcare delivery and the changes in governance required to embrace the future AI-powered healthcare. The challenges brought by the potential biases in AI models, issues related to the protection of patient privacy and the importance of transparency and safety in the use of AI in health care will also be discussed.
