IMU students have the option to choose from a variety of fully furnished off-campus accommodations, all conveniently located within the Bukit Jalil area.

Welcome to our IMU Accommodation for International Students

IMU offers high-quality, off-site accommodation exclusively for international students at Park Sky Residence condominiums in Bukit Jalil City. These secure, modern units—less than five years old—are fully furnished for comfort and convenience. Located within walking distance of Pavilion Bukit Jalil, a vibrant lifestyle and leisure mall, the accommodation is just 3.7 km from IMU’s Main Campus, providing both accessibility and a dynamic living environment.

What we will provide

The student accommodation is situated at The Park Sky Residence condominiums at Bukit Jalil City on Persiaran Jalil Utama, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. It is approximately 3.7km away from the IMU Main Campus.

Provided by the University

A shuttle service is provided by the University from the condo to IMU campus and return on daily basis. IMU shuttle services to Park Sky Residence are provided only to students who are currently residing with the IMU managed accommodation.

The operation hours and frequency of the shuttle services will be extended/increased during exam periods when students will use the library to study.

No special arrangements will be provided beyond the scheduled shuttle service. This includes early shuttle arrangements for postings and electives.

In addition to the Park Sky–IMU Main Campus (BJ1) shuttle service, shuttle services are also available for students based at the IMU LiT Campus Bukit Jalil (BJ2) to support their commuting needs. Detailed schedules will be communicated separately through the official communication channels.

Other Options

There are also free shuttle rides provided by the Pavilion Bukit Jalil shopping mall management from the mall to nearest LRT station (LRT Awan Besar) on a daily basis from 8am to 11pm.

The LRT Awan Besar station is one stop away from the Seri Petaling station, which has a pedestrian bridge linked to the IMU Main Campus.

Students can enjoy the convenience of off-campus accommodation provided at the condominiums. Facilities provided includes a swimming pool, gymnasium, spa and pool, playground, multi-purpose hall, lift lobby, and it has a 24-hour 3-tier security system.

This location is also incredibly convenient, being in close proximity to Pavilion Bukit Jalil lifestyle retail and leisure mall, clinics, a 24-hour self-service mini-market, eateries, banks, and more.

These condos are facing Bukit Jalil Recreational Park and are accessible via a link bridge from the condo, which is less than 1km away.

Applicants may purchase them at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, a lifestyle retail and leisure mall which are within walking distance from the Student Accommodation.

Terms and Conditions

  • Applicants must agree to stay in the student accommodation for a minimum period of one (1) academic year.
  • The University will cover utilities (electricity and water) bills up to RM200/month per unit for common areas including 70kWh of electricity usage per month per room. If this limit is exceeded, applicants will be required to pay for the additional usage.
  • Applicants have the option to make either Full Payment or with two (2) Installment Payments. Applicants are required to pay the Accommodation Deposit and Accommodation Rental (based on the selected room) upon notification from the University, failing which the University will not guarantee the accommodation applied for. All fees are payable in Malaysia Ringgit (MYR). All balance of fees due must be made prior to check-in.
  • Applicants with Conditional Offer, who subsequently are unable to meet the entry requirements, the University will provide a full refund of Accommodation Deposit and Accommodation Rental paid to applicants.
  • For applicants with Confirmed offers, should the applicant cancel the accommodation prior to check-in, no refund will be given on Accommodation Deposit and a forfeiture of half (1/2) Semester Accommodation Rental. The balance will be refunded within one (1) month.
  • After check in, any requests for premature termination of the accommodation within the accommodation period will result in total forfeiture of all accommodation rentals and deposit paid.
  • The Accommodation Deposit is refundable if the applicant fulfills the accommodation rental period and submits Student Accommodation Termination Form to the University at least one (1) month before the accommodation expiry date.
  • For extension of stay beyond one year, applicants are required to inform the University in writing at least Two (2) months before the accommodation period expires.
  • After the first year of accommodation, the University reserves the right to revise the rental rates by giving three (3) months’ advance notice.

  • Applicants can apply for student accommodation when they have accepted either Full Offer or Conditional Offer of study from the University.
  • Once you have accepted the offer from the University, IMU Visa Office will share with you the link to the application form for you to apply for your accommodation.
  • University reserves the right to assign either 3 Bedrooms Condo Unit or 2 Bedrooms Condo Unit to the applicants. Applicants only have the option to choose either Room 1 with attached bathroom or Room 2 with dedicated bathroom. However, room type allocation is subject to the availability. Assignments of the Condo Unit are based on the same gender.

Check-in will occur one week before the enrollment date.  Check-in hours will be from 8:00am-8:00pm.

Please be informed that for IMU Accommodation at Park Sky Residence, the check-out time is strictly between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

The IMU accommodation team will contact you to confirm your pre check-out inspection and check-out date and time.

Welcome to IMU Accommodation for Both Local & International Students

In partnership with Uni Stay, IMU provides fully furnished off-campus units that combine modern amenities with a secure, welcoming environment for both local and international students. Located within walking distance of IMU Bukit Jalil, the residence is approximately 400 metres from the Main Campus. For added convenience, complimentary shuttle services are available for students commuting between the Bukit Jalil Main Campus (BJ1) and the IMU Technology Park Campus (BJ2), with pick-up points starting at BJ1. The student accommodation is located at Savanna Bukit Jalil Condominiums, Bukit Jalil, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. It is approximately 400 m (straight-line distance) from the IMU Bukit Jalil Main Campus to Savanna (Gate B), which is about a 5–6 minute walk.

Walking Route from IMU BJ Campus to Savanna

From IMU BJ Campus, walk towards the left side of the campus until you reach the traffic light. Continue straight, and you will see the entrance to Savanna 1 on your right. To enter, you’ll need a Savanna ID pass — tap it at the reader to open the small gate. This pass can be obtained from the Savanna Management Office (a small fee applies).

Tip: Always use the pedestrian paths and be mindful of vehicles when crossing.

 

Students can enjoy the convenience of off-campus accommodation provided at the condominiums. Facilities provided include a badminton hall, clubhouse, perimeter fencing, gymnasium room, launderette, mini-mart, playground, sauna, swimming pool, tennis courts and it has 24-hour security system.

    • University will cover utilities bills up to RM50/month per room; excess usage charged to students. For electricity used in common areas, Uni Stay will also cover up to RM50 per month per unit; any excess will be shared equally among all residents in the unit.

How to Apply

  • Register Your Interest – Begin by registering your interest via our New Prospect Form. This helps us understand your requirements and tentative move-in date. (Download Form)
  • Agent Contact and Room Availability – Once you’ve registered, our agent will contact you based on your tentative move-in date. They will provide you with a list of rooms available that match your requirements. Priority will be given to students who are closer to their check-in date.
  • Arrange a Viewing – We offer two types of viewings:
    Physical Viewing: Visit the property in person.
    Video Call Viewing: For those unable to visit in person, we arrange a video call viewing.
  • Confirm and Register – Once you’ve selected a room, confirm your choice and register via our New Tenant Form (Download Form).
  • Registration Processing After registering, we will process your application within 3 working days. During this time, you will receive the tenancy agreement and an invoice for the deposit and advance rental.
  • Follow-Up and Check-In Date – Approximately 4 weeks before your course commencement, we will follow up with you to finalize the check-in date and ensure everything is ready for your move-in.
