Student Global Opportunities at IMU

Undergraduate and Postgraduate Global Opportunities at IMU

  • Credit Transfer (Articulation Pathway): Begin your studies at IMU and transfer credits to a partner school overseas to complete your degree. This pathway allows you to save cost and/or time while gaining international exposure.
  • Transnational Education & Pathways: Students start their programme at a partner school overseas (Phase 1) and then transfer to IMU for Phase 2. Upon completion, they graduate with an IMU degree, gaining international experience with IMU’s academic excellence.
  • Additional Degree: Earn two degrees, one from IMU and another one from a Partner School overseas by completing the required components at both institutions. This additional qualification enhance your global competitiveness.
  • Progression Opportunities into Postgraduate Studies: After completing your undergraduate degree at IMU, you can progress into postgraduate programme at our partner schools, opening doors to advanced qualifications and global career prospects.
  • Mobility Programmes: Participate in short-term overseas attachments or electives at partner school overseas. These programmes provide international exposure and enrich your learning experience and expand your networking without committing to a full credit transfer. Placement Process

Register for a Partner School Track

When you enrol at IMU, choose the Partner School Track that aligns with your academic and career goals. Our academic counsellors will guide you through available options and requirements.

Complete Phase 1 at IMU

Begin your studies at IMU and complete the initial phase of your programme. This phase builds a strong foundation and ensures you meet the academic standards required for transfer.

Transfer to the Partner School

After fulfilling all transfer requirements – such as academic performance, language requirement, and visa approval by the country’s immigration, you will transfer to the partner school to continue your studies. IMU will guide you through the process.

Graduate with a Partner School Degree

Complete the remaining years of your programme at the partner school and graduate with a Partner School degree, opening doors to global career opportunities.

What You Should Know

Students must meet all academic requirements, including subject pre-requisites.

For Partner Medical School and Partner Dental School Tracks, students will undergo a matching process to determine where they will complete Phase 2 abroad. This process is managed through a dedicated IMU system.

For detailed information about the matching process, please contact the International Office at IMU.

Students must meet the partner school’s language proficiency score and ensure the validity of the test results before transfer.

Students should check with their home country’s professional bodies or councils regarding programme recognition. IMU does not guarantee that partner schools will be recognized by these bodies.

Students transferring to a partner school are responsible for applying for the appropriate student visa.

The list of partner schools published on the website is subject to change.

Students may have opportunities for housemanship or work overseas, subject to government policies and work visa availability.
