Foundation in Arts Scholarship

The Foundation in Arts Scholarship recognises outstanding academic achievements in the 2024 SPM or 2024/2025 IGCSE/O-Level examinations.

Available for students with 2024 SPM or 2024/2025 IGCSE/O-Level qualification.

NOTE: The FIA Scholarship will be awarded based on actual SPM or IGCSE / O-Level result and not on forecast result. Students are required to apply via the IMU website at https://www.imu.edu.my/foundation-scholarship. This scholarship is available for the FIA 2025 intake.

 

Applicable to all students enrolled in the Foundation in Arts 2025 intakes and successfully progressed immediately into any of the undergraduate programmes at IMU.

Bursary Amount SPM / IGCSE / O-Level Requirements
RM10,900 Applicable to FIA Scholarship recipients who have been awarded RM20,000.
RM8,000 Applicable to all IMU FIA graduates# who have successfully enrolled in the IMU degree programmes.
#Except for FIA Scholarship recipients who have been awarded RM20,000.

Bursary amount will be deducted during Undergraduate study.

Foundation in Science Scholarship

The Foundation in Science Scholarship recognises academic excellence in the 2024 SPM or 2024/2025 IGCSE/O-Level examinations.

Available for students with 2024 SPM or 2024/2025 IGCSE/O-Level qualification.

Family Loyalty Reward

A one-off discount of RM2,000 is available. To qualify, the prospective applicant must have a familial relationship as a sibling, spouse, or child of an individual who is either presently enrolled in or has completed a full-time programme at IMU.

IMU-Merit Scholarship

Recognising academic excellence, leadership, and extracurricular achievements, the IMU-Merit Scholarship offers Malaysian students pursuing the local option the opportunity to receive full or partial tuition fee waivers for the entire duration of their programme.

This scholarship is awarded to students demonstrating outstanding academic excellence, extra-curricular participation and leadership qualities.

IMU-Merit Scholarship is available to cover:

  • Full Tuition Fee (100%) for full duration of programme
  • Partial Tuition Fee (50%) for full duration of programme

This scholarship is only applicable to Malaysians applying for the LOCAL option.

How to Apply

  • Applicants are required to submit the following supporting documents to be assessed by Scholarship Committee Members
    • Personal Statement
    • SPM Certificate, or equivalent
    • Foundation Certificate, or equivalent
    • IMU conditional Letter of Offer, if applicant has received for an undergraduate programme at IMU
    • Co-Curricular Certificate with cGPA
    • IELTS/MUET Certificate or equivalent
  • After the closing date, selected candidates will be called for an interview. The successful candidate will be required to sign a scholarship agreement.

Scholarship Details

  • All scholarships will only cover the tuition fees and no allowance for living expenses, books and study-related equipment is provided.
  • The amount will be disbursed on a semester to semester basis.
  • Students are required to maintain the required minimum cGPA of 3.30 per semester in order to continue with the scholarship. Failing which, the scholarship may be discontinued with immediate effect.
  • Students who withdraw (academic and non-academic reasons) without completing the programme will be required to repay the amount that has been disbursed for the financial award given.
  • Repeat modules will not be covered.
  • IMU Scholarship Committee may vary the selection requirements as and when it deems necessary

IMU-Need Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to support deserving Malaysian students facing financial hardship who have demonstrated good academic achievement. The scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees for local option First Degree programmes.

This scholarship is awarded to students who are facing financial difficulties and demonstrating good academic achievement despite the challenging situation.

This scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees and is only applicable for the Malaysian applying for LOCAL option.

 

Eligibility

  • Open to Malaysian students only.
  • Applicant must be applying for first degree.
  • Applicant must meet the merit criteria mentioned above.
  • Applicant’s household income must be in the B40 and M40 category only.
  • Applicant with involvement in the community (based on co-curricular activities) will have an added advantage.

Global Leadership Scholarship

The scholarship are open to both Malaysian and International students for selected programmes and intakes. Amount of scholarship is up to 50% reduction of tuition fees.

Pantai-Gleneagles Scholarship

This scholarship is designed to support high-achieving Malaysian students from B40 or M40 households who are pursuing their First Degree at IMU.

Eligibility

  • Open to Malaysian students only.
  • Applicant must be applying for first degree.
  • Applicant must meet the merit criteria mentioned below.
  • Applicant’s household income must be in the B40 and M40 category only.
  • Applicant with involvement in the community (based on co-curricular activities) will have an added advantage.
